So much happened in July, and I am so tired from it all, that I decided to let myself off the hook. I am going to write this post in list format, and then I don’t have to worry about transitioning from one thought to another in a clever and cohesive manner (not that I always do that anyway, but I feel better about saying it).
Here goes:
1. Reese and A Bike. Reese got a new bicycle, because her old one caused her to ride around with her knees hitting her in the chin. We’re not quite ready for losing the training wheels yet, and when we do….well, that’s John’s job. In the meantime, she is content to ride around the lake at a leisurely pace, careful not to break a sweat nor let her helmet mess up her hair.
2. We continued to enjoy the summer weather and the lake, especially because it hasn’t been too blazing hot yet, which suits this girl and I perfectly.
Next up? The pool. The boys immediately went to work getting our Country Club membership revoked. Picture this…three 240+ pound men, one small diving board, and a pool full of kids. Recipe for disaster, but it sure was funny to watch. Here they are enjoying a cold beverage and some chicken wings while watching the staff refill the pool.
It was about this time in the day that all good parenting went right out the window. Malory talked Daddy into not one, but TWO ice cream cones. Pure happiness.
Stef and I had a couple more margaritas. Is the picture blurry, or was that just me?
