Starting off the month, there’s this girl….can anyone guess what she’s doing in the closet, hidden behind my clothes? I’ll bet Nana can. As if any more proof were needed that she is John’s daughter.
“DON’T TALK ABOUT IT NANA!!!!!”
Secondly, what about these two? Yin and Yang. That’s love right there, because I can guarantee you I would never rest my head that close to John’s back end. Ever.
Ok, now back to our regularly scheduled programming, otherwise known as the chronological review of the Harris Happenings. Early in the month, we were invited to the birthday party of our favorite Lowen girl. It had only been a few weeks since we’d seen Libby in Vail, which made this even better. The girls wouldn’t have to waste time with small talk, and could get right to the business of birthday partying.
These two girls are holding each side of a Frozen BFF necklace. Once we were home, Reese wore hers day and night for 2 weeks….or about the same as her socks.
(Thanks to Anthea for the awesome photography)
The following week, we were FINALLY reminded that we live in Colorado, and were treated to a little snow. I love winter and snow and was hoping that this would be the first of many storms. Someone else thought it was pretty fun too.
I think I’ve talked before about how I have a budding chef in the family. Jackson loves to cook and has aspirations to go to culinary school….(and also be a mail carrier, but whatever). I’m already planning for him to attend Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and for me to live with him there. Just what any young man would want, right? For his mommy to live in his cool Paris bachelor pad….I’ll do the laundry and be in charge of wine Quality Control. It’ll be awesome.
Anyway, what better way to prepare for the Super Bowl of cooking than to make a hamburger….
Pretty good, right? He did all of the work himself and I was only in charge of clean-up!! He’s got the chef behavior down pat, now we just need to work on his palate a little….he doesn’t like cheese or potatoes. Who’s kid is this?
Speaking of the Super Bowl of culinary delights, I was very excited to host Thanksgiving in my own home this year. I hadn’t been responsible for the entire Thanksgiving feast since the Great Vodka Debacle of 1995 (ask Larry). That’s not entirely true, as I magically created Thanksgiving in a little cabin 2 years ago, with barely so much as a hot plate and candles. But, this was the first time I’d been in my own kitchen with my own things. And, I have no proof that we actually ate anything. I do have proof of the drinking though, which is par for the course around here….
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!
